Have you ever looked at a gravestone? On it you will find the date a person was born - and the date that person died. In between is a dash. This small symbol signifies a persons whole existence. When it comes time for my dash to be chipped in, I want to know I lived a full and wondrous life.

Cracking out the fake tan is a hoot....

Hullo, boys and girls,

Just a quick one to let you know I'm alive, well and still kicking. Work has been insane lately - last week I did a full time week and was absolutely buggered by the end of it lol. I really can't handle full time - part time is enough with the kids and house on top of it all.

Things are going pretty good with my band right now. I'm not too hungry and I have managed to kick yet another 1/2 kilo off my bod so I'm the scantest amount off my original goal weight of 73.3 kgs. Can't wait to be able to tell you I've actually hit that target finally. Not that I'm trying - and that's the truth.

I've been maintaining beautifully. I float a half a kilo either side of 73.9 and 74.5 (that's about a pound or so) and so far it's been fairly easy. That said, I am watching what I'm eating. PB's far and few between - phew - and life is still busy which is probably helping me stay on the straight and narrow.

Good news is - yesterday I wore my first pair of Australian size 12  jeans, thats a size 8 US. I have quite a few tops in a small and I feel super proud of that but the only size I had tried here in jeans or pants was a size 14 (a 10 US) until MIL (Mother-in-Law) handed me a pair of purple jeans the other day (purple? lol) and said, 'Here, do you want these? They don't fit me.' I dubiously eyed the size 12 tag and went, "I'm not sure they will fit me either," but lo and behold they bloody well did. Nicely too! I was stoked, just stoked! So there's another NSV to add to the pile. I wouldn't say I'm a 12 across the board, but hey, I haven't fit into a size 12 for near on 20 years so this is amazing to me. And hopefully this is a sign of things to come. I might well have a closet full of size 12's one day. Stranger things have happened.

You know, with the weather we have been having here in Perth (a very strange winter - LOADS of sunshine all the time!) I have been thinking about baring these whiter than white legs of mine. So after this beautiful pair of sexy high heels that were on special caught my eye, I lashed out and got them. This got me thinking about my legs. If you have great shoes you gotta have the legs to match. So I went and bought some fake tan. I did the exfoliation, moisturise, shave thing and went to town spraying my pins and I now sport a lovely pair of lightly tanned legs that look great with the dress I'm wearing. Can't believe I'm even thinking about things like this. I haven't put so much effort into the way I look in like forever and these past few months, well, I've done nothing but. It's sensational!

Nothing else much to report. I hope you're all well. I will try and do a catch up on your blogs asap. Gotta run, have an appointment to get to in a half hour.
Heaps of love
Cara xx

  11. You said it--I was the same about not caring at all how I looked until a few months back...then it consumed a lot more of my thoughts.

And that's awesome about the purple pants! YEA!!! :)
