Have you ever looked at a gravestone? On it you will find the date a person was born - and the date that person died. In between is a dash. This small symbol signifies a persons whole existence. When it comes time for my dash to be chipped in, I want to know I lived a full and wondrous life.

Business as usual.

Just a quickie today to update.

Hows everyone doing? That's a start. Going okay in this part of the world. Rained yesterday - whooo hooo - back to heat today.. blahhh.

Kitchen is a MASSIVE mess as we continue to rip out pipes (for the new dishwasher and fancy sinks).. theres dust everywhere, tools everywhere, brain matter everywhere (thats from my brain exploding!) .. and we are only less than a week in. Save meeeeeeeeee lol

Band wise - I'm doing great. Still. I don't know. I think I'm boring in this respect. I am just plodding on day to day. I have things enough together to be able to hold my weight steady - in fact for the past four days I have jumped on the scale and its showed me the exact weight I was the previous day. How often does that happen? I usually move within a 500 gram ratio up or down - but not this past week. Though, that said: I did have a bit of trouble last night. A rare problem. I had been so busy I really hand't eaten much during the day (naughty I know - but the hunger just wasn't there...) and then had some little chicken wings, salad and a half a small potato for dinner - and about 20 minutes later, the whole thing came up. Lots of face scrunching, major heaving and tears later I was minus a dinner. Not pleasant. I don't know what happened. I'm not sick, I know that. I think my stomach probably rebelled with the amount of stress (and lack of sleep) that I have been under. I really must slow down.

Other than that yuck incident - all is well in the world. Kids are on school hols right now and it's really nice. No such thing as sleeping in what with work and busy-ness in the house. But that's ok. I sleep like the dead at night. Also, things with my folks seem to be patching up. I have seen a fair bit of them lately - I pop over to their house and it's nice. Ive done a lot of poking around in mums very expensive, very flash kitchen too, getting ideas for my own. Her likes and dislikes and what she would change. So far, apart from wishing for a bigger sink she loves her kitchen. She also texts me often (lots of kisses in the texts.. hmm... something she never did before...) and it seems shes really making an effort. We both are actually. Hope it continues.

Have a happy Thursday.

  6. I feel for you about the kitchen. My husband redid our bathroom at our old house and it was a mess for quite some time. I'd lose my mind having the kitchen done. Deep cleansing breaths. It will all be worthwhile.

  7. How exciting redoing your kitchen! I've always wanted one of those gourmet type kitchens that no one ever actually cooks in. LOL. Glad things are going well with your folks.

  8. I think being 'boring'with the band sounds ideal. It means you're just living a normal life and maintaining your skinny weight. I hope I get to be in your shoes soon.

Enjoy the holidays with your boys!
