Have you ever looked at a gravestone? On it you will find the date a person was born - and the date that person died. In between is a dash. This small symbol signifies a persons whole existence. When it comes time for my dash to be chipped in, I want to know I lived a full and wondrous life.

Holy Shmackerolie!

Just a fly-by from me this morning. I've been up since 5.15am seeing my two oldest boys off - one to work - the other starts his full time studies in carpentry as of today so it's been a busy-ish morning already. My turn now to fly into the shower and start getting ready for the train trek to Perth to start another week of study.

I have had to do something this weekend I haven't done in the longest time - that is concentrate AND hard. Been quite the weird feeling. We have a closed book exam in a few weeks on our First Aid. Don't know what it's like getting your First Aid elsewhere in the world but here in Australia - a little tough. So my grey matter has been working tres' overtime.

I jumped on the scales first up today - down a little again - whooooo - but I had an amazing moment this morning. HOLY SHIT!!!! ......and I cannot wrap my head around this. I was standing there nekkid on the scale (scary look me thinks lol) and suddenly something computed. I came out of the robe (where I weigh myself) and started to well up. MOTH (Man of the House) was like.. what? what? WHAT??? He really thought something awful had happened. My lip quivered and I said: "I only have three kilos - three small, insignificant kilos (haha! What was I thinking - three kilos could take me yonks to lose.. but it's the numbers you know?) before I see a 70+ on the scale." I actually saw his eyes light up, and a slow grin spread across his face. "Jeez! That is great news. Really?" Yup, really truly! Considering I used to be envious of people who only had five or 10 kilos to lose and not 40 - three feels like - well, almost nothing. It's a goal I'm heading towards with a vengeance. 70 + will be mine!!!!

Seeya, gotta run and start the day,
Cara xxx

  7. Wow Cara!! You are almost there!! I am sooo excited for you!!

I can't wait to get some restriction, so that I can start my weight loss! I am staying steady, not moving either way very much! But if it will help you, I will take your kilos for awhile so that you can lose them. Whats a few more kilos to me at this point? LOL

Don't worry, you will do fine on the exam, I am positive of it!! You were meant for this field with your empathy and gentleness. People will really respond to you, just like they do my BFF in New Hampshire!

  23. Cara, that's FANTASTIC (as I pull out my metric conversion chart o_O)!!! It's got to feel SO good to be so close to those little goals. I think if I could set those, I might not feel quite so stuck or overwhelmed.

    CONGRATS!!!
