Hey all,
Went and saw the lovely Dr Hill today. We agreed that I don't need a fill right now: band is pretty much working at it's optimum level. While I am finding my appetite is just that touch more up on what it was two months ago (the last time I saw him) I am still getting quite full on those small portions. In fact, I am often serving myself up a cupful and finding that I can't get more than half of it down. To me this is great news. So erring on the side of caution, and not wanting to upset the great balance I have with my band at this time, we let it go. He thinks though, the next appointment that I'm booked in for (which is in mid to late July) might be the time to give another small tweak, but for now I'm good to go.
While I was there, we had a discussion about a lot of different things and during the course of this he printed me out a sheet of my weight loss so far. I have posted it here. I was really pleased with it - and he was, too. It's more of a big picture thing, I think, which we tend to find is almost always the case. The little things don't show up immediately, but put the loss over 12 months and you find a lovely, downward steady show.
If you can read the dates to the left (and the line connecting the dots didn't show up, ack!) you'll see I had a huge drop in the three weeks before I was actually banded. I was on optifast (the liquid diet to shrink the liver) then and in the three weeks stuck to it like glue (except for one lunch when I went out to a restaurant.) The second dot from the top is from when my band was placed. I've just realised the last dot should be more in the middle than the upper but its just off by a squidge, so no matter.
Miss Vickie? I measured my shawl for you, too. I hope I did it right - I recorded in inches. So the shawl is 70 inches long and 56 inches in width. Let me know how you go with doing one yourself. And of course, we need pics lol.
Hope you're all having a great Monday. I have a busy week of work but thankfully not as bad as the last (I did 6 days of work last week and this princess found that hard going lol.) Also a funeral to go on Thursday. That won't be terribly flash but has to be done. I have been working hard on my blog/vlog to post for when Saturday - the big day - comes up. So watch out for that one :)
Chow for now
