Have you ever looked at a gravestone? On it you will find the date a person was born - and the date that person died. In between is a dash. This small symbol signifies a persons whole existence. When it comes time for my dash to be chipped in, I want to know I lived a full and wondrous life.

Shhh - 'I made it through the first twelve months' Vlog

The shhhh part of my title refers to the fact in this Vlog, I'm talking quietly. I'm not normally so softly spoken but I recorded this about midnight last night after everyone had hit the sack and I didn't want to wake them. I hope you can hear me just fine. Also - for some very strange reason I mention in my vlog that the longest I had ever stuck to a diet was around 7 weeks (true) but also added I had lost around 20 kilos (untrue lol.) I actually meant around 10 kilos. I must have been on another planet as I didn't even pick that up myself until I listened to the vlog the whole way through. So here it is.....

    Thank you for saying this does work! After being banded this week I had terrible buyers remorse. I do know this will work but when you are feeling so awful after surgery you tend to second guess yourself. Congratulations on your weightloss. You look beautiful!

    Your vlog made me feel really good...it is so good to share this journey with others who are also taking the same big step and challenge and it does feel good to know that they really get it, when our husbands really dont! (through no fault of their own of course). The other thing is we never tire of talking about the band issues, whereas certainly my husband doesn't want it to be a part of our every conversation, so it lets them off the hook a little bit. xx
