After a bit of a tussle trying to rally the troops we set off for Fremantle. It was PACKED OUT! lol. Our original plan of going to Ciccerellos' for lunch was quashed by the sheer amount of people thrumming around. They were literally spilling out onto the grass outside and sitting down on blankets to eat. Crazy. So we parked in the centre of the city and had a wander around while we decided what to do for lunch instead. We ended up in an Italian restaurant where they make the best wood-fired pizzas (which the kids all ordered) and MOTH and I shared a meal of chicken marsala, chips and salad. Well, actually he had 80 percent of it lol and I managed the other 20. At least until I had to make a visit to the toilets! Darn tight band.
We wandered through the Sunday Markets for a bit then headed for the park where Riley ran around like a madman.. probably hyped on the fairy floss he got from the markets lol. It was such a beautiful Autumn day and I'm glad we spent it as a family together doing something pretty wonderful. Especially since the kids are getting older and we won't always have these days together. It makes me all the more aware of how precious our time is together. I love my family more than words can say. They made my day so special.
A living statue. Two seconds later she bent down to talk to a little girl and half scared the bejeesus out of her lol.
My boys - I had them facing the sun for the shot and they were half-blinded lol - hence the squinty eyes.
Freaking awful hair due to wind-tunnel effect at the park lol.
The boys again - sharing a joke.
MOTH and the boys taking a breather - sit down time.
See you again soon,
Cara xx

ReplyDeleteIt is funny to me our season differences. I get plants and stuff for the garden for mothers day every year because it is May and marks the line between any chance of frost and risky planting. You got getting ready for Winter stuff...the world is a cool place with its differences:)
