Have you ever looked at a gravestone? On it you will find the date a person was born - and the date that person died. In between is a dash. This small symbol signifies a persons whole existence. When it comes time for my dash to be chipped in, I want to know I lived a full and wondrous life.

Dentist, weigh in's and whatnot........

Well, for me, today, Wednesday heralded a booked appointment at the dentist. While it's never a pleasant experience at least I have a girl who has a sense of humor and is damn good at what she does. I had couple of fillings at the bottom that needed a tweak (one was big..eek!) and I hate those damn blocks. For the most part they can really hurt. But if I'm getting anyone to do it, she's the girl. It took three shots to fully numb me due to a stubborn tooth that wouldn't die (figuratively speaking) but we finally got the job done. So now I sit with the numbest face ever, a tongue that feels like Mount Everest and a rumbling tummy due to no breakfast and no way to eat just yet. Bugger.

I got on the scales this morning and was pleasantly surprised to find a loss. I'm 300 grams off 16 kilos down. Whoooo!! I don't know though, my food intake has been a bit dodgy at best so maybe it's nervous energy I'm burning off (taking the calories with it.) I slipped into a pair of black slacks with two buttons and a zip this morning no problems (these were tight on me a few weeks ago and I had to suck in to button it up lol.) And there's not a skerrick of elastic in them in sight. Go me!

Well, not much else to report at this end. Have had a damn busy week and it's not going to get any better. I don't see any relief until at least Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. So this one's going to be short and sweet. Hope all you girls are well and I'm off to do a check of everyone's blogs. I'm a little behind.

  2. Cara,
You are doing so well. Cuz you can't eat from the dentist you might get to 16 kilos faster! LOL...getting pants up easily with no elastic is always a bonus.

Good Luck this week..seems you will be light on blogging due to busy-ness!

  4. I would rather have a mammogram than go to the dentist. Aren't you just the successful bandit? Great job with the kg lost. How many stone is that? I keep trying to get the conversion straight. Take care.

  8. Ooh I hate the dentist too - I've spent 100s of hours and $10000000 with or on them during my life, but I never get over the fear.

You are doing great with WL, how is your restriction? I've been exercising this week, for the first time in 20+ yrs. I hope I keep it up!

(I think Catherine has inspired me with her bootcamp experience, though I can't do anything like that yet)
