Initiation over...

Well, TTOTM has bumped my weight up a kilo but I'm not worried as I know it's all water weight. Still, was rather a shock when I see the darned scale going up and not down lol. 


First day of my new job went like a dream, too. I'm still getting the hang of resetting the car odometer (and times taken to reach a place) each time I move from house to house but managed to remember it and note it all down. I hung back at the first home for about 10 minutes, reading the case files etc and then bogged in for the rest of the day. Turns out, the first two homes were doing showers and setting up the client for the day - the 2nd two were light housecleaning...sigh... but the operative word here is light. The homes aren't 'dirty' by any stretch of the imagination and it was just sweeping and dusting and vacuuming etc. Not backbreaking stuff. The buddy I was put with was fantastic. She's only been on the job herself 6 months but is like a pro. She was really great - we got on like a house on fire and I was even a bit sad I won't get to work with her again. Hopefully we will catch up at the staff meeting coming up soon.


So that's it for me today. Just a quickie to touch base and say hi.. let you all know that day one went great and bring on day 2 which is Wednesday.
