Buggered if I could keep a thing down. No changes (stress, TTOTM etc) that I could put my finger on but boy, when my band decides to be contrary it goes at it full force. I couldn't seem to keep a thing down Saturday or Sunday.. even liquids caused me problems. No sooner am I puzzling over this than today comes along and all is good again. Pfft lol. I even managed a half a toasted sandwich this afternoon for lunch. Go figure.
Weight is STILL holding steady. Ack. Does this mean my body is comfortable here at 75 kilos? I guess so, because no amount of walking or watching what I eat seems to be changing it. I'm not hugely fussed though I really would love to lose this last five pounds. Five pounds from goal and do you think I can knock this paltry amount off? Uh huh. Is five pounds even worth worrying about? Again, uh huh. So much for my theory of getting rid of those last few kilos in two months. At this rate it will take two years lol. C'est la vie.
I had a great weekend. Kept fairly busy catching a movie on the Friday night (as I recently posted) and then dinner at a friends on Saturday night - which was quite a chore eating wise. Everything I ate came back up and my friend felt awful thinking it was her food. I kept ducking to the loo - sigh - and after the third time she twigged - she knows about my band - and fussed that it was the food she served - it wasn't. Poor girl. Sunday came around and later in the day two of the the kids, MOTH (Man of the House) and I braved the cool for a few hours as we walked the beaches and went climbing high, high hills to get to the lookout at Point Peron. I have included some pictures. Look at the beautiful weather. Mid-winter and we still yet to see much rain instead suffering haha... with cool, clear days and sunshine.

Sounds like a great weekend (minus the PBing) and I loved the pixs.. so bizarre how you are bundled up and we are sweating our patottie's off up here..
ReplyDeleteLove the pix of the family on the water.. thanks for sharing.. be well and hugs
Hey Dashy! You're right, I will get me a new GYN, mine is a bitch. F-her. Anyway, speaking of 'bitches'-- you are a skinny one!!!
ReplyDeleteI'll bet these last ocuple of kilos are all about letting go and just seeing what happens. They will come off eventually.
As for being buggered by your band-- I get it. Mine acts up too in funny ways.
I hate plateaus. My dad was in contact with a weight trainer once who advised him that during a plateau, sometimes it best to "cheat" a little and have a big bowl of ice cream or some pizza or something junky. He said it shocks your system back into losing weight. I have no idea how true that is honestly.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos, Cara. You look so happy and vibrant! Those last five pounds are indeed a bitch, I hear. You'll get there, even if it takes a while. Enjoy the beautiful cool weather!
ReplyDeleteI've read a similar thing regarding plateau busting as Ashley mentioned. Have a couple of cheat days and then cut back to watching what you eat and exercising. The body gets complacent when it knows what to expect, so throw it a curveball by way of pizza or something decadent! Come on, you know you want to! =)
ReplyDeleteI had my first PB on Friday and by Sunday night I had my 6th! It was a bad weekend for food!
YOu look lovely!
ReplyDeleteLove the pics but that sucks about the band!! So funny when I read the title I thought..will Americans understand what stroppy means? I guess they do ha
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful! I too hate how finicky the band can be sometimes! So annoying!
