Have you ever looked at a gravestone? On it you will find the date a person was born - and the date that person died. In between is a dash. This small symbol signifies a persons whole existence. When it comes time for my dash to be chipped in, I want to know I lived a full and wondrous life.

The art of experimenting...

First up - FINALLY I have moved below my lowest ever recorded weight - yay  and about time. It's only a quarter of a kilo but hey, considering I have sat on the same weight for near on a month, I'm taking it. It means there's potential for some more loss.

The other day I went to visit an old friend. She's now living in Sydney and flew over for a week to see her mum. I was a little nervous because last time I saw her I was big - and I mean big. Thankfully though, I'm not sure she ever saw me at my largest. So anyway, since she's from Sydney and moves with the 'in crowd' I wanted to look trendy. Or die trying lol. Lucky for me I managed to pull it off - or so she said (umm...). She was amazed at how happy I seem (last time she saw me, I was a sad-sack going through so many dramas) and complimented me so many times on the way I now look but best of all, LOVED my outfit. To me though, it doesn't look as good in the picture MOTH (Man of the House) took of me for this blog - but I felt good in it and that's, I guess, the main thing.

I have been really busting out of my normal clothes mode. I wear leggings all the time, my skirts are kind of getting a little shorter and I've decided it's time to wear high heels again. I have bought two pairs recently and it dumbfounds me but in a great way. I remember trying to wear high heels when I was bigger. It was hard and I felt like I would topple at any time. Maybe our center of gravity is off? Now? Well, I  had to learn to try and walk in them all over again - something I was practicing in my bedroom.. walk, walk, stagger, walk walk, totter, walk, walk, hey, I'm back in the groove. I posted a couple of pics of my newbies. Only trouble is, now I have to find someplace fancy enough to wear them lol.
Two shots of the fancy-smancy killer heels

These are black but look kind of silvery for some reason. Patent black.

Till next time,
Cara xxx

  11. My comment just disappeared so here it goes again. You sure looked like part of the "in crowd" to me. So happy for you and those shoes-I dread heels. But if you can wear them, go for it. Another NSV to work towards.
