Have you ever looked at a gravestone? On it you will find the date a person was born - and the date that person died. In between is a dash. This small symbol signifies a persons whole existence. When it comes time for my dash to be chipped in, I want to know I lived a full and wondrous life.

Autumn pics for Tina

I finally got around to taking a few pics of autumn here for Tina's seasonal shots. Although in different parts of Perth they have those beautiful deciduous trees that change colour in the different seasons - they are a bit rarer here in the suburb where I live. I couldn't decide which picture to put in so you choose, Tina. How's that for passing the buck lol. I really hope they are not too boring. If they are - let me know and I will go on the hunt again. Autumn here pretty much blends in from the summer - we don't really have four distinct seasons. It's still hot - quite muggy in fact and we might get a little rain - but I wouldn't count on it.

The good old Canna - we have a whole flower bed with these! They are flowering like mad. These grow everywhere around the world.

Don't know what these are. But they are a pretty, pale pink and they hang over the back fence from the house behind us to mingle with my Jasmine.

Bad, bad weekend for eating. Sighhhhhhh, don't know was going through my head, but because I can pretty much eat anything,  I did! ACK! I am ringing tomorrow to push my fill appointment ahead. I don't think I will last another three weeks before the appointed date.

Vanessa, from Perth. Do you have a blog I can follow? You don't have an avatar to go with your comments so I'm guessing not. But if you do, or that changes, let me know. Would love to read about your escapades and we need another Perthite around here! If you have any questions or want to meet (are you getting or have you had a band put in?) let me know. My email is in my profile. Always happy to help with anything you need or want to know :)

Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

  1. I want to meet with you! That's on my "bucket list" actually: Go to Perth and meet up with Cara!

Those flowers are beautiful. I am in Florida and we had an abnormally cold/freezing winter and we lost a lot of our shrubs. Its so sad driving up to the house and seeing so many fried bushes. I am so looking forward to digging up (or rather pointing to DH to dig up) all the dead ones and replaning some flowering things!

I have to get past this week, plant the "seed" that will help me flower and than I can concentrate on my dead bushes!!!

  4. Flowers are one of my favourite things. Yesterday was the first day of spring here, but it was actually much colder than it has been over the last week. I planted lots of sprng bulbs last fall and I'll be sure to post some photos once they come in.

P.S. I can relate to the eating anything complaint. I have little to no restriction.

  12. Ah! Vanessa from Perth here! Thanks for the lovely welcome :)

I thought I left a link to my blog on my comment but I must have forgotten. My blog was over at wordpress but as of yesterday I moved all my junk over to blogger.. which has taken some time which would explain why I only just saw this post. Hah.

    I've just followed you :)
