Have you ever looked at a gravestone? On it you will find the date a person was born - and the date that person died. In between is a dash. This small symbol signifies a persons whole existence. When it comes time for my dash to be chipped in, I want to know I lived a full and wondrous life.

Working in mysterious ways

Tell me what you think this is:

A. A headband?
B. An upside down 14 year olds boob tube?
C. A flag of some faraway country that shrunk in the wash?
D. A cute and sexy little pair of knickers that this woman purchased today.

If you guessed D... then you'd be right.

Who knew that I would be in a place where I would feel comfortable wearing something like these.  Not me, thats for sure. One day way back when I was out shopping, I saw these in the shops and really, really wanted to buy a pair BUT I just couldn't see myself wearing them. For a start they didn't make them big enough! So I promised myself when I had lost a heap of weight, I was going to treat myself. I finally did that today. Actually I bought two pairs and both in lairy colours. I got the pair above and a bright fluorescent pink pair, much to MOTH's (Man of the House) chagrin... I think he said something along the lines of.... "Will there ever come a day when you don't buy something that hasn't got colour so bright it burns my retinas?" ...and I'm fairly sure my answer was.. "NEVER! I'm too young to be beige." These little babies are the MOST comfortable things I've ever worn. They do have a fair bit of stretch  (they would have to, look at the size of them!! They look like something a six year old would wear) but they are a short boy-leg style and they sit so comfortably that I whispered to to MOTH after donning the bright pink pair..."They feel so light, I'm actually not sure if I'm wearing anything at all.." Suddenly, my new knickers took on a whole new light............he wanted proof lol.

God's Pallet

I stand corrected about Autumn here. Just as I wrote a post including some pictures of flowers (I still think the shots were boring though lol) we have had the most massive storm this afternoon. Golf size hailstones in Perth, downed trees, lightning strikes and flooding. I tried and tried to get a shot of the lightning but you need a special camera and mine just wasn't cutting it. Instead I captured these shots. This was just as the storm was finishing and the sky was lit up. There's no filters or anything, these are just as the colours were taken from my front and back yard... so pretty.......

Did much better with my eating today. Back to small portions, eating what and how I should be, water was upped and calories lowered. Oh, I also rang and changed my appointment with Dr Hill. I now have one for a week today and not mid-April. I hope I can hang on a week!

Till next time

  6. The photos are breathtakingly beautiful. There's nothing quite as beautiful as Mother Nature. We can decorate all we want, but Mother Nature does it best.
