Have you ever looked at a gravestone? On it you will find the date a person was born - and the date that person died. In between is a dash. This small symbol signifies a persons whole existence. When it comes time for my dash to be chipped in, I want to know I lived a full and wondrous life.

Norrie roll overload and beach visits

MOTH on the job - Norri roll express

We had a nice time this weekend. Didn't do much on Saturday. Just pottered around the house, and I watched as MOTH caught the Norrie making bug only to do it bigger and better than Mason. He made three plate fulls of rolls - smoked salmon and lobster and chilli tuna with all the trimmings (including a surprise roll or two for the unsuspecting when he put wasabi paste in 2 of the rolls and we would pick up a bite size piece, munch into it and WHAMMO!! a hot hot mouth that sent us running for water ..... okay well me running for water, it didn't seem to faze the kids lol.)

The finished products - three whole plates - now that takes patience

Sunday was a lazy day, at least till lunch. We had a sleep in, wandered down and got the Sunday Times from the corner shop, had a read then because the kids had cabin fever we decided to head down to Point Peron to let them blow off some energy. It was a little brisk but at least it wasn't raining. You can see by the pics I included that it was actually a really pretty (though weak) sunny day. We visited Palm Beach boat yard, where there's a marina ... of sorts..... and the kids mucked around on the beach with MOTH for a bit, then we got back in the car and went to Point Peron, where we did a lot of walking. We climbed to the lookout, then back and then up this enormous hill with steps that leads to an old jail perched on a hill. I have included some shots (hope you like them, there's a few lol) of our lovely rugged coast line at Point Peron and the ones with the boats are from Palm Beach.

I must add I have been drinking water, something I keep forgetting to add in my menu for each day. I am just drinking as much or as little as I want and this ranges from 600mls - to sometimes over a litre. It's hard to get it in when you're are timing your drinks half an hour after you eat and most times I'm quite full still.

Kay, that's me done for the night.
Sweet dreams one and all

  2. Cara,
The photos are delightful. In Florida, where I grew up, we have Palm Beach also. I especially love your Point Peron, though. You look terrific and the exercise was definitely a bonus for the day. Keep up the great job. Kathi
