Well, a dog jammed up the crack of some ladies butt is one kind of stuck - mine is the the other dreaded bandster no-no - or should that be oh noooooo!!You know when your husband tells you something but you think you know better and it turns out he was right? Yeah.. I hate it too. Unfortunately, I have to give it to him. I was out and about with him today and I was hankering in a BAAAAAAAD way for some roasted chicken. Better not, MOTH (Man of the House) says.. you know you won't be able to eat it. Course I will, I blithely told him. My restriction feels almost next to nothing and I'm pretty sure I will be able to slam some down.
I was hungry (correction... I was starving!!) and I wanted it like nothing else.. I haven't eaten roast chicken in months.. so we pull up, I order in the store, we get home, I eat and fark me... it was slow going.. but I got though about half a small serve of chicken and chips. I've now PB'd almost the whole lot up and I can't even go to him for sympathy lol I won't be getting any.
This restriction game is tough. I'm getting hungry again. I mean really, really hungry. I wake up and the first thing (after my coffee) I think about is what should I have for breakfast. And yet, I'm still having trouble getting some things down. How unfair! Argh.. I want that level of restriction I had a few weeks ago when I wasn't looking for food, my stomach never grumbled and I just KNEW I had to take it easy no matter what I ate because I had no choice. This mid-way restriction is just annoying....... I guess I will just have to suffer through until my new Doc is back from hols and I get another small fill..... the 30th of this month can't come quick enough.
Mitchell - our AWOL son who's been traveling around Europe and the UK is now coming home early due to him still being sick. Poor baby :( He really did try to stick it out, even taking a week off to stay and recuperate in Germany with MOTH's Great Aunt and Uncle, then sticking to the schedule he jetted off to the UK again for the next leg of the journey. Unfortunately, he is just not improving. Blood tests and numerous Doc appointments are getting him nowhere.. so he's opted to head home for some TLC. And he will get it.. in spades!! We are all so excited to see him again (he arrives home this Saturday afternoon) - I just wish it was under better circumstances. But, as he said, Europe will still be there in a few years (he plans on going back asap) and he had a heap of fun till the lead up to getting sick.
PS Vanessa - you asked what a cossie was? A cossie (pronounced to sound like cozzie not with the s sound) is a bathing suit. Just a plain old pair of bathers. Here in Australia, we have many names for them.. Togs is another, swimmers, budgie smugglers (men sometimes wear these to the beach - they are these little lycra jock things should only be worn by someone who is super buff and even then it can still be a not-so-good look).... boardies....swimming trunks... I'm sure there's more. In Western Australia - where I am - we usually just say bathers.. Eastern States (or is it just Queensland, I'm not 100 percent sure) usually use Cossie. I just used it for effect but sorry, I thought you guys had heard of the term xx
PSS Since starting this post - things have miraculously moved lol. I am no longer stuck.. whew!!!
I'm off to paint my toenails (hey, that was exciting news for you!!) because MOTH and I are going out to dinner tonight with friends to a new Indian Restaurant. I just hope I haven't irritated my stomach so much that I can't eat. Boy, will you hear me whinge (more!!) then lol.

Thanks-- I should have understood the cossie= bather from the context!
ReplyDeleteEek. PB'ing and chicken. So sorry... I am apprehensive about all of what you're talking about.
I kbnow exactly. The "I told you so" from Hubbie is hard to deal with! I am sorry you had trouble, but glad you are better. Enjoy your evening out!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, the dog stuck in the crack is hilarious, and so is "budgie smugglers"! LOL!
ReplyDeleteSorry about the chicken. I have already noticed I can't really tell when something will be okay or likely to get stuck - seems like some days are just easier. For me, seems like smothering meat or chicken in sauce helps a bunch.
And sorry about the sick baby Mitchell! I know he will get plenty of TLC!
Budgie smugglers - made me LOL at work!!! I think I've heard them called banana hammocks here... no matter what they are called, I don't want to see anyone in them unless it is Michael Phelps!!! Glad you aren't stuck - enjoy dinner!
ReplyDeleteIsnt it crazy how things can change from day to day. For 2 or 3 days I have crazy restriction and happy and then all of a sudden like yesterday I ate a sandwhich on French bread, the whole thing and nothing got stuck but last night had 3 bites of pasta and knew I was full aghhh but well worth it if the weight comes off!!! By the way you are too funny.
ReplyDeleteEven Michael Phelps doesn't look that great in them! LOL. The pic at the top cracked me up (get it? CRACKED! anyhoo...) Sorry to hear your son isn't feeling well but I bet you'll be happy to have him home! Sometimes Dr. Mom is better than any ol' medical guy.
