Have you ever looked at a gravestone? On it you will find the date a person was born - and the date that person died. In between is a dash. This small symbol signifies a persons whole existence. When it comes time for my dash to be chipped in, I want to know I lived a full and wondrous life.

A slack weekend, and loving it

Hi all,

Well, I think I have had one of the quietest weekends I've had for a long time. Just pottered around Saturday, doing washing and outside doing "stuff", and finished the day by hiring some video's, something we haven't done in ages. We ended up watching, "Yes Man - a very funny movie with Jim Carrey in it. I cannot for the life of me figure out why it was canned by the critics, it had some really funny moments in it. MOTH loves vampire movies and I love romance, so we combined the best of both worlds with Twilight. That was a sweet movie. The lead guy in it? Bit strange looking to start with but he grows on you, and now I can't wait to see New Moon, Twilight 2, out in November this year. No three for the night ... and yes lol it was a late night with so many movies, was Slumdog Millionaire. Talk about a movie that stays with you. It was just brilliant. Loved it, loved it, loved it.

As for today, it's been much of the same. Running the kids to wherever they need to be and I just finished watching Marley and Me. (That wraps up all the videos for the weekend lol thankfully.) Talk about having a cry.

I was sitting there by the end going whaaaaa, and sniffing into my tissue. I will be the first to admit that I'm not a dog person, and yet, because we have a dog of our own, as this mutt is creating havoc within the well ordered lives of Owen Wilson and Jennifer Anniston, I am sitting there nodding my head going, yeah, I remember when Max did that (eat the crotch out of undies and knickers) or would make a pig of himself till he was sick.. OR eat the furniture OR just run for his life without a care, frightning the life out of you because you are sure he's going to get collected by a car and yet..... somehow he survives.  And ours is a little dog not a monstrosity like the one in the movie. But it was a really great flick and I tell you, the writer got it right. When the couple move onto having children and Owen is bewildered and wonders whats happened to his life and his wife is having trouble coping with being home 24/7 with the kids and all that comes with it, the dialogue is spot on. My husband and I went through the same thing. We had a laugh as we watched it, it was that close to home. Thankfully, the baby side of things finally does end and life gets better. Whew!

Everything else is running smoothly. Still coping well with Optifast... no problems whatsoever. I have since lost another kilo, and I swear I could actually feel it shift lol. My stomach has gone RIIIIIGGHHTT down ( i now look 2 months preggie instead of 5 lol) and when I painted my toenails this morning, well, I only had to come up for a breather maybe twice the whole time from first paint to top coat due to my stomach not being in the way and squishing everything inside within an inch of it's life. All good news!! I love optifast!
So, till next time
Cara xx
