Just a quickie from me... I'm home safe and sound and officially a bandster. Feeling sore and sorry for myself, but everything went like a dream and the only thing I'm feeling is a windy pain under my rib cage that extends through to my sternum. It catches me by surprise each time. Cuts are all bandaged and looking great and I'm about to have my first cup of coffee in weeks. Nice.
Will update when I'm a little stronger and for all those out there that wrote to say good luck... thankyou xxx

Good to hear you are home and all went well:) Suck on one of those shiny pepperments (they have a coating that looks like a Smartie)...they help with the wind thing a bit and it is nice to have a "flavour" in your mouth after the operation and all that. Also....Chupa Chups are a good standby for when you "just want something in your mouth" moments!! lol
ReplyDeletewelcome to the world of the bandsters... glad you are home and feeling ok. The windy pain will go, try to keep moving to disperse it. Enjoy your coffee.

ReplyDeleteWelcome to Bandland! The gas is really the worst part, and the shoulder pain is awful . . but it will go away eventually! I'm so glad that the surgery went well -- was thinking of you!

1st of all Congrats and welcome to bandland!!! The gas is Horrible! If you walk around alot it will go away, or atleast it did for me. Im glad your surgery went well and they best it yet to come!
ReplyDeleteCongrats and good luck. I'm hoping to join you soon!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! Welcome to the 'lighter' side of life....lol. If you develop shoulder tip pain [which for me, was worse than the wound pain], then a hot wheat pack will relieve it.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to following your journey,
Tracey
